Spider Control In San Tan Valley, AZ & Surrounding Areas

Expert Spider Control For Arizona Homeowners

black widow spider in web

If you feel confident that your home is peaceful and pest-free, think again; studies have shown that we are never as far away from a spider as we might think! Reportedly, people are never more than ten feet away from one of these creepy, crawly arachnids. Spiders are reclusive pests that prefer to be left alone while they pursue smaller prey insects that they have chased into your home. Discovering spiders in your house can indicate other pests are sneaking around, but that doesn't mean these creatures should be allowed to remain unchecked on your property. Because some spider species possess potent venom that can make people seriously ill, you should always approach these pests with caution.

Fortunately, Ozone Pest Control is ready to help protect you and your family from these eight-legged pests. Our local, family-owned-and-operated Arizona pest control company has protected homes in San Tan Valley and the surrounding areas for over 25 years. Our customers love Ozone Pest Control technicians because of the relationships we have formed with our community. Request a free inspection today and see for yourself!

Our San Tan Valley, AZ Spider Control Process

Our Ozone Pest Control technicians are experts at ridding San Tan Valley homes and businesses of spiders using the following protocol.

Inspection

The first step in our spider control process is to thoroughly examine the interior and exterior of your home for signs of spider activity in Arizona. Outside areas of interest include eaves, overhangs, windows, wooden decks, woodpiles, and other areas that may be conducive to spider activity. Interior areas of interest include garages, window seals, baseboard corners, and other spaces in the vicinity where spiders are likely to be found.

Treatment

Spider treatments can be difficult because you have to treat the spider directly most of the time. Part of our regular pest service is to search for other problems attracting the spiders and take care of them. When we find a spider web, we treat it as well as any spiders nearby; spiders will leave the webs they spin, but we knock them down because customers find them unsightly. When we complete our service, we walk the premises to knock down any remaining spider webs.

Follow Up

Follow-up visits are available based on what the customer tells us. We can treat for spiders today, and they can return within a few days due to the way they travel. It is important to understand that we do our best to eliminate the current problem with spiders and that we will return as needed if you have not seen an improvement with our initial service.

Are San Tan Valley Spiders Dangerous?

All spider species in the world possess both venom and fangs that they use to incapacitate and devour prey insects. While most spider species you may encounter in your home are relatively harmless, some venomous spider species in the San Tan Valley, AZ area are best to avoid, such as the black widow and the brown recluse.

Black widow spiders are shiny black in appearance with a red 'hourglass' shape on their abdomens. Young black widow spiders are primarily orange and white but acquire their black coloration as they mature. They have markings very similar to male adults, with one or two reddish markings underneath their abdomen.

Symptoms of a black widow spider bite include fever, increased blood pressure, sweating, and nausea. The pain associated with a black widow spider bite may continue for one to three days and then gradually subside. Fatalities from a black widow spider bite are unlikely with proper medical treatment.

The brown recluse spider is the most misidentified species in the United States. These spiders have a pale brown coloration and a prominent 'fiddle' shape on their rear ends.

Although brown recluse spider bites are rare, their venom can sometimes cause serious wounds. Severe reactions to brown recluse venom are more common in children, the elderly, and patients in poor health. If bitten by a brown recluse spider, apply ice, elevate the affected area, and seek medical attention immediately.
